It’s long in the tooth but still capable of racing the mid-pack and will fit in small cars happily. Since last posting I have given the rear drive a rebuild and have geared it faster than before (Faster than the setup referred to on the wiki). It’s a happier machine now and would only need a light tinker to race again. I believe it’s only real issues right now is a slow leak in the rear right tyre (Happily lasts a race and could probably be fixed with some sealer put in the tyre, was just never bad enough to worry). And the other issue is the mounts on the rear axle will not budge so changing the gearing would require a new rear axle, shouldn’t need to but would if you did. New axles are very cheap as the underlying kids quad is a widely built machine.
I’ll include all the spare wheels/tyres/rims I have accumulated over the years..
It’s battery pack can also be included if needed for £50, 2x 6S 12Ah Turnigy LiPo’s. Very similar to these https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-high-capacity-battery-12000mah-6s-12c-drone-lipo-pack-xt90.html. They are older packs but still race happily and haven’t really suffered in hackys.
Ideal for anyone looking to start with Hackys. I would prefer if the racer was renamed. Please note this is NOT professionally built, the buyer assumes risk for taking on, maintaining and competing with the racer.
I can provide the CAD I have for the Hacky (It’s not a full CAD but does have all the custom parts), in STEP format.
It would need collecting from Blandford Forum in Dorset. Selling as I am competing with a new hacky and need to repair the wallet a bit!
